Five Secrets to Better Skin

If you are not happy with the condition of the skin there are several ways to help improve it besides using wrinkle skin creams. The five most important of these are explained below.

1. Use mild Soaps: Any harsh chemicals can strip your skin’s natural protective seal. This is what further causes the onslaught of acne. Look at the ingredients and see if their are any additives or preservatives in the soap that could irritate your skins as well.

2. Stay out of Direct Sunlight: The sun is hottest and most direct between the hours of 11 a.m. and two a.m. (early afternoon). If you want to enjoy a hot, summer day it is advisable that you go outside about 3 p.m. or later, even if it is not hot out. The sun can even cause wrinkles and blemishes in the winter time, especially when UV rays reflect off of snowbanks.

3. Quite Smoking: This is one of the leading causes of wrinkles besides staying in the sun too long. If you don’t believe this just think of how many smooth-skinned chain smokers that you know. This is not meant to tell someone how to live their lives, but if you do not care about your health maybe you at least care about your physical appearance.

4. Be careful when Shaving: If you can, find a way to remove hair that will not irritate the skin. This often is caused by the use of razors, especially when you are not gentle. 

5. Use Moisturizers: Find moisturizers that are made of safe ingredients that are as natural as possible. You could also use a small dab of olive, almond, or jojoba oil for example. Try to avoid using cheap lotions that could dry out your skin even more.
