Actifade- Does it Really Work?
Actifade sells the idea that it diminishes and gradually removes the age spots in a matter of few nights. Promoted with the punchline “Age Spots fade away as you sleep”, the product, Actifade, has little to prove it. The advertisement shows ‘before’ and ‘after’ images of a hand that was rough and old before using Actifade and blooms after applying the cream. While the concept may entice any woman to buy Actifade, the inefficiency of the product is revealed only later.
Experts believe that Actifade has many ingredients that are in no way a soothing agent for age spots like wrinkles, dark skin, loose skin and brown spots. While Shea butter, one of the main ingredients is a great moisturizer, it is in no way directly or indirectly related to removing any of the above mentioned age spots. Another key ingredient Propylene Glycol is a harsh chemical that may show an immediate positive result, but can harm the skin in long run. The natural and effective constituents like anti-oxidants, Peptides and DMAE that help in revealing a youthful skin are clearly missing from the product’s ingredients list.
To add up to the mess, their products are only available at Walgreens and CVS pharmacies. It is difficult to get it from a basic cosmetic shop and you have to wait till you find a CVS pharmacy! The money back guarantee also does not seem to add any punch to the product. 30 days is a steep timeline and women often forget to return the product within this timeframe.
Overall Impression
The product price also does not suit the product, considering that it is nothing more than a moisturizer, camouflaged in an Anti-Aging cream case. So, do not end your search for anti-ageing cream with Actifade - it never really fades the age spots but only moisturizes the skin. There are many more products in the market that can make your skin look younger and let you shine.
